Mergers can be tricky things. Here were two significant government departments – Trade New Zealand and Industry New Zealand – joining forces to fulfill a new mandate to support the development of New Zealand’s international competitiveness. The creation of a brand definition helped to provide a framework for the new organisation and avoid the bruises that sometimes occur when two cultures meet.
