We know that markets change and are to a large extent cyclic. When Own was published the housing market was buoyant and the mortgage market fiercely competitive. The magazine was a guide to making a house purchase, but at the same time needed to entertain and engage. The role of One Year Later was different, and the same. The audience was final year college students about to go into the ‘real’ world. Again the magazine acted as a guide, providing information on the big and small decisions they will need to make.
